Law360 (January 27, 2021, 10:18 PM EST) — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced Wednesday that Avi Garbow, the agency’s longest-serving general counsel who served as the top EPA lawyer during the Obama administration, will return as senior counselor to the agency’s administrator.
Garbow will rejoin the agency under the Biden administration after spending the last few years in the private sector, most recently as outdoor clothing and equipment retailer Patagonia Inc.’s first-ever “environmental advocate,” a role that put him at the center of the company’s commitment to green causes.
